MIK Release Notes – 26.1

Unified versioning across all MIK products

• All products now have uniform version numbers in the format 261.0.1.x. Note: MIK.arjuna Legacy 26.1 still has the version number 6.8.1.x.

Unified icons and splash screens for all MIK products

• All products have received updated logos and splash screens.

Installer certificates

• In the last release, the setups were not signed with the correct certificate. The new certificate has a longer validity period until 20th November 2027.

Updated MIK.starlight+ Inventory Report

• The report on third-party providers used has been updated and can be opened in the “About MIK.starlight+...” dialog. In addition, the Syncfusion version used has been downgraded to version 28 to correct an issue with the display of large table values.

General

• .NET8 DesktopRuntime package has been updated from 8.0.22 to latest security patch 8.0.27 within installer (msi/exe). The minimum .NET8 version is 8.0.2 but we highly recommend to use always the latest patch. With argument NET8=False during the installer process, .NET 8 install can be skipped due to own software distributions via IT department.

• Builder and Selector did not find the databases.ini file when started from a UNC path.

UserManagement

• User list was not sorted correctly when sort mode is set to email.
• Localization method fixed for splash screen captions.

Builder

• Window: Toolbar button added to view and configure server log without opening configurator dialog.
• Data import: "Replace empty column" property is now shown in column mapping list.
• Data import: Debit/credit processing is now also available for "Fixed element" and "Fixed period".

• An exception occurred on generate sheet when a view node member contains a special character.
• ETL initialization may have been triggered when the tab has been changed to a different than ETL-loader tab.

Server

• Error message at login process occurred when the private password contains a ":".

Server .NET

• Error message at login process occurred when the private password contains a ":".
• The Arjuna console server closed the window unexpectedly after starting internal OlapCScript.exe via CallServerBatch.
• The /env parameter did not work in OlapCScript.
• The WCF timeout has been extended to 48 hours.

Service Manager

• The list of all local services was interrupted as soon as a service could not be loaded.

• General: Exception occurred on saving when top element color or base element color were empty.

• General: Email templates are now fully localized to English and German.
• General: Error reporting dialog (Ctrl+M) is now fully localized to English and German.
• General: New button implemented to select the theme item of selected document tab.
• General: Font selection has been expanded by including font styles of font families.
• General: Cube detail button has been implemented in information sidebar group.
• General: Document icons have been implemented in recent document context menu.
• General: Filter themes by groups and type has been implemented.
• General: Documents can be selected as favorites; all favorites will be collected in a separate favorites theme.
• General: Query badge counter is hidden in the subset dialog when queries are available but inactive.
• General: Alphabetical sorting for cube view/dimension lists has been implemented (e.g. Slicer, Planner, Single data field).
• Graph: Percentage and combined data labels now available for pie charts.
• Graph: Simple conditional formatting has been implemented for bars and columns.
• Map: Name for linked map refers alternative caption in context menu when given.
• Ultimate: Formula operands Max() and Min() have been implemented.
• Ultimate: User name caption has been exchanged with image and user popup in toolbar.
• Ultimate: Line appearance can be individually defined for every row.

• General: Wrongly placed "Ignore presettings option" moved below slicer options.
• General: Exception occurred on opening exclusion dialog.

• Graph: Changed graph colors were not updated with activated "Keep color..." option

• Map: Country names of default world map were not shown in tooltip.
• Map: Option "Show value in tooltip" did not work.
• Ultimate: Sorting was not correct, if other elements have been defined.
• Ultimate: Multiple query was not used, if other elements have been defined.
• Ultimate: Deleting other text cube was still shown text cell not original data cell.
• Gauge: Deleting last definition entry did not disable delete button.

Designer

• Action "SetDataOption" has been extended with column/row number property.
• New toolbar button added to open document designer (Adhoc).
• Error result implemented in new page/new object dialog.
• The size of the homepage tile image has been limited to 512KB.

• Dashboard change flag was wrongly set when enter designer mode.
• Mouse wheel did not work properly in action dialog.
• Action parameter was not savable for action "ComparisonPrevYearMulti".

Runtime

• Toolbar home icon was only in a correct state after page recalc.

Homepage

• Cache for tile images implemented.

• Option for text overlay of tiles did not work.
• Changing homepage toolbar color had no direct effect, reopening was necessary.
• Foreground color of homepage toolbar icons were not updated dynamically.

Application Server Manager

• .NET 8.0.27 DesktopRuntime can be downloaded from the toolbar.
• New context menu implemented to call netsh remove command.
• New button implemented to copy current http/https url as connection string.

• The update check routine has been adapted due to new version numbering.
• Services with same STS prefix e.g. STSchedEx have been recognized as MIK.starlight service.

IIS hosted

• Login via IIS was not possible with http protocol.
• Own cache directory has been implemented when using noappprofile=true to handle multiple pools.

General

• Quick help information has been added for some MikBisXlr functions.
• New connection helper dialog has been implemented in login dialog.

• CallServerBatch did not work with serverside scripts (without transferring own script).
• Export did not work properly via IIS using https.

General

• It is now possible to monitor multiple servers with the same database ID.

• Single-Sign On login fixed.
• Long user name was not shown in user table.
